National Pancake Day at IHOP

Mark your calendars! Tuesday, February 24th is National Pancake Day at your local IHOP. From 7AM to 10PM, participating IHOP locations are giving away free buttermilk shortstacks.

That’s right – free! check to see if your local IHOP is offering this awesome deal.

All that is asked for is a small donation to be donated to the Childrens Miracle Network. "In 2006, you helped IHOP celebrate National Pancake Day by raising more than $340,000 for charity."

In 2008, you helped IHOP celebrate National Pancake Day by raising more than $875,000 for charity. In 2009, we hope that together we can top that by giving away enough free pancakes to raise $1,000,000 for Children’s Miracle Network and other local charities. (I'm sure that some people will like to point out that this proves that there is no such thing as a free lunch: you are asked to provide a donation, of any amount, to the Children’s Miracle Network or other local charities. To be fair, if you are tight on cash, you can give a small amount now and give more later.)

So say you donated $3 for 3 cakes- a tax-deductible charitable donation = 3 buttermilk pancakes. that adds up just fine to me. I would be able to take my family to IHOP for say $15 and help out a worthy cause...
