R U considering hitting the wide open road??

All below is tips we were given by long time RVers some we had already done and others were great info to look into.

First take this Full Time RVer Aptitude Test mostly for fun, but somethings to think about. There is no right or wrong answer but will be a guidline as to how ready you truly are: lol we actually did this after we decided to set out on our adventure but said we were ready for it so guess we did the right thing.

You can get some important books at most RV Centers ...

The Next Exit book is an absolute Must! It is published in Utah I think. We also read a book called Fulltime RVing I would have to go find the book and look up the authors.

You will need the Mountain Book ... it shows all the interstate routes in each State and describes the mountains at risk in that state.

You will need books of RV Courts like Woodalls ...

It would not hurt to pick up as KOA book ...

Then there is the Atlas sold only in Wal-Mart Stores that list all of the Wal-Mart Stores with addresses, etc.

There is also the RV Drivers Friend which is a companion to Next Ext ... only it gives more details on the service opportunities available that are listed in Next Exit.

A good rule is to try to stay on Interstates when on a trip ... However, to get to some of the places you would like to visit you will need to take some State Roads which are usually very good.

When driving a Motor Home ... remember. length, height, width and capability. For now my husband does most of the driving. Before you head out just like any other time be sure to check weather not only where you are but for the route you are going.
