Yellowstone

We decided this year to make it a point and take a couple days as a family and head to Yellowstone during the free days.  Which really in my mind is the best time to go as it is just after the park opens and wildlife is awakening from the long harsh winter so are fairly abundant for viewing pleasure.  I think we saw everything but moose this visit from marmots to wolves lots beauty.  Poor Kelda on crutches was such a sport about the trip.  She was in pain with her foot as we really are beginning to wonder is she didn't fracture or do some ligament damage.  Anyhow it was a gorgeous day and it was great and much needed family days outing:)

Here are a few photos from the day...Enjoy!!

Samhain 2009 Fun

WOW what a jam packed week!! We finished our shopping for costumes, Did our jackolantern, pumpkin seeds yum, had a Party, hit the zoo sent the kids trick or treating by themselves for the first time while I stayed behind and handed out candy to the cute little ghouls that came by. We had quiet the turnout for little ones TT. NOW as I type this up the kids are all busy sorting and trading. Benjamin getting anything with least sugar such as fruit snacks, twizzlers and the like. Hope this awesome day/night was a great start to your new year:0)  Ours is starting off with a week in Bridger then back to Bozeman and shall see where life goes from there!!

Dandelions

Ok so I had a bored moment (don't get use to it...doesn't happen often)...took out my camera and took some shots of dandelions...enjoy:0)

On a serious note did you know these pesky "weeds" are an awesome creature of nature from wine making, to herbals even just picking and directly putting the milk on a wart they have many uses. OH and don't forget the carefree childhood love of making a wish on them:) Look 'em up you might be surprised what all you can do with that abundance of offering in your yard!

WOW is about all I can say...I can only dream to be as good as this photographer! These are freaking awetastic!! To get better views click on each to upsize them and hit your back button to get back to this blog....or right click and open in new tab/window.

These incredible images of waves were taken by the number 1 photographer of surf: Clark Little. He has dedicated his life to photographing the waves and has published a selection of the the best images of his career. He captures magical moments inside the "tube", as surfers say.

Mall Egg Hunts

Well they SUCK! About as much as TT at Halloween does only in top speed. We got there 5 mins early came in the wrong door apparently as there was no info there. Get to the proper location passing a spot where there was a room full of eggs all over the floor, but also saw people further down all crowded around so we thought we best make sure on ages for the 2 spots as there is no sign. Find out we were in the correct spot so head back (this mall is literally you can see one end to the other..only taking 10 mins to see all available kids don't like this mall, but then are use to a good sized 3-4 hrs easily in Colorado)

Anyhow in that time we got back there at 11:02 and the eggs were done! Seriously in 2 minutes flat no eggs left, but they were handing out candy to all the kids that didn't make it. They told the kids a couple pieces of candy each so there was enough to go around. Benjamin felt it was only fair to take a handful since he didn't get any eggs....lol. Inger later told him they said 2 pieces he said yeah that was for those that got eggs....Hey sounds good to me. But I got a quick not great shot but not terrible shot of the younger ones with Mr(s). Bunny. Ok so he looks too scary and tall for really little kids and kinda stoned but yeah whatever the kids appeased me stood there for a quick photo and off we went.

Carls ex employer.  WW Guides if you ever need a true horseman that knows his business

Last but not least my son on looking as they got the horses rigged up to pull the sleighs and was eyeing up that john deere tractor in the next stall.  All this after he fell in horse manure and didn't cry.  Just stood up, dusted off and said cowboy up now I am a real cowboy;0)  thats my boy

Holiday Cards

This is something we are doing this year. Actually each child and myself is doing one and mailing for 4 different soldiers. We will most likely go visit the VA as well. We sold our car this year for less than we would have liked to a vet. For all he and others have given to our country I felt it was the least we could do in return. He was fully willing to pay the full amount, but had to wait on his next check. Carl and I both agreed such is life and we all needed a little help so he could have it based on what he had saved up in his pocket. Anyhow don't forget about those that helped you be here free in what has been such a great nation.

BTW if you are a current family of military I do offer a 15% discount on photo sessions. If you are a homeschooling family on top of that you will receive 25% off.

When you do your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:

Paige Samhain 2008

Awww isn't she cute!!

She loves her kids

Hard to believe this is Paige's 2nd Halloween. Last year she was a witch, this year a ladybug. Who knows what next year shall bring. Personally I can't believe she allows me to dress her up...lol. Pris her mother NEVER would have allowed this in a million years. She hated when the groomers put bows in her hair. Paige simply has taken the word "pris" to a whole new level she loves comfort AND style as well as understands mudbaths can come in handy now and then;-) Her mother got her name simply by loving comfort and hated stepping in mud otherwise she loved being out with the cows.
